I am most grateful to my friend Mr. Yoshihiko Takakura for translating
this information to you so that you will have a little more background
information about me.
In 1964, after leaving Art College in North Devon, where I studied sculpture
and fine art, I joined A.P. FILMS (later to become Century 21) as
an Assistant in the Art Department. At this time I helped to create
some of the sets for the Thunderbird series - after approximately 6 weeks
I was asked if I would like to join the sculpting Department with John
Blundell and John Brown. By this time the 5th episode of 'Thunderbirds'
was in production and my work was mainly making the supporting characters
for the series.
Towards the end of the series we started production for a full length feature
film (Thunderbirds are Go) - my work became a lot more involved and I was
able to make many of the leading characters for the film. Following
this was a second feature film - Thunderbirds 6. At this time we
started work on a new series - originally called The Mysterons, later to
become 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons'. For this series I created
several of the main characters -Captains Blue, Grey and Ochre and also
Destiny Angel.
After this series 'Joe 90' was created and finally 'The Secret Service'
-following this last series Gerry Anderson went into live action filming
and I left and joined Century 21 Super Film Props. as a Designer and Model
Maker for UFO and Space 1999.
I now work as a Floor Manager and Production Manager for our local television
Company. Three years ago I was invited to Fanderson Convention
where I was asked if I would recreate some of my puppets - and that is
where the story starts again .....

１９６４年、ノース・ディボンの美術大学で彫刻および美術を学んだ後、A.P. FILMS （後にCentury 21となる）の美術部でアシスタントとして所属いたしました。その間、サンダーバード・シリーズのセット作りに参加いたしました。そして、およそ６週間後、ジョン・ブランデル氏およびジョン・ブラウン氏に彫刻部へ誘われました。その頃、サンダーバードは既にエピソード５の制作に入っており、私の仕事は主にシリーズのキャラクター・サポートでした。
シリーズ後半、長編映画の制作が始まり(サンダーバーズ・アー・ゴー(Thunderbirds are Go))、私の仕事も忙しくなり、映画のメイン・キャラクターを沢山作り上げることが出来ました。
その後、第2作、サンダーバード６となります。その頃、我々は新しいシリーズに取りかかっており、当時のタイトルは「ザ・ミステロンズ(Mysterons)」、後に「キャプテン・スカーレット・アンド・ザ・ミステロンズ(Captain
Scarlet and the Mysterons)」となります。このシリーズのため私は幾つかのメイン・キャラクターを作り上げました。それらは、キャプテン・ブルー(Captains
Blue)、グレイ・アンド・オーカー(Grey and Ochre)、そしてデスティニー・エンゼル(Destiny Angel)。
このシリーズ後、「ジョー９０(Joe 90)」が制作され、最後に「ザ・シークレット・サービス(The Secret Service)」が制作されることになりました。この最後のシリーズを期にジェリー・アンダーソン氏は実写映画の製作に移り、私はCentury
21のスーパー・フィルム・プロップスに移りました。そこではUFOおよびSpace 1999のデザイナー兼モデル制作者として活躍しました。
現在はこちらのテレビ局にてフロア・マネージャー（ディレクター補佐）兼プロダクション・マネージャーを勤めております。3年前、ファンダーソン・コンベンションに招かれた際に、私の製作したパペットのリメークを依頼され、そこから新たなストリーが始まる訳となります…
